Meet Dr. Richard Rodman

Dr. Richard RodmanDr. Richard Rodman is a board-certified ophthalmologist, cornea specialist, and LASIK surgeon serving the Boston area from offices in Lexington and Concord. He is a full-time member of Lexington Eye Associates, whose practice is restricted to cornea, cataract, and refractive surgery. Dr. Rodman has been performing laser vision correction since 1996.

Dr. Rodman attended Brown University and Brown University School of Medicine, from which he graduated with academic distinction. He completed an internship in internal medicine at Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Dr. Rodman then entered a residency in ophthalmology at the University of Michigan's W.K. Kellogg Eye Center in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Dr. Rodman was selected to serve as a chief resident and was awarded the George Slocum Resident Research Award. He then completed a corneal and refractive surgery fellowship at the Wills Eye Hospital of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he was awarded the P. Robb McDonald Fellowship Research Award.

Dr. Rodman has completed nearly 1,000 excimer laser vision correction procedures and more than 3,000 cataract and corneal transplant procedures. Dr. Rodman evaluates potential surgery candidates in Lexington Eye Associates’ Lexington and Concord offices.

Dr. Rodman is Clinical Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at Brown University School of Medicine, where he teaches residents to perform corneal surgery and laser vision correction. He has lectured extensively and authored numerous publications related to corneal diseases and laser vision correction. Dr. Rodman is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, the International Society of Refractive Surgeons, the New England Ophthalmological Society, and the Massachusetts Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons.
